Today I’m breaking Pack Opener. Again. With the ‘special summon from the deck’ effects. As well as maybe some ‘set directly from the deck’ effects.
Actually, let’s start off with the second. And to be more specific, Fire Formation Spells. And Traps. I have a few cards to do that with, but the biggest one is Ultimate Fire Formation - Seito. I ran it along with a few of the Fire Fist monsters like Gorilla and Raven to acquire some new cards.

After a few uses of the cards, I’d gotten six new cards to add to my Collection.
Fire Formations Kaiyo; Gyokkou; Yoko; Domei; Ingen and the Ultimate Fire Formation - Sinto.

Most of them are not all that good, but some are actually cool. Domei is basically a Ritual Spell, but with some added cool stuff. Ingen is for fusions, but it isn’t as good as Domei. And Sinto is a decent counter trap.
But still, somehow even with all these new Fire Formation Spells and Traps, Tenki and Tensu are the two best.
Next up was Madolche Ticket, getting me some Madolche monsters. Sadly I only got four new monsters.
Hootcake; Chickolates; Anjelly and Petingcessoeur. All of them are decent for TCG use, but nothing amazing for me. Well, except maybe as kitchen staff.

Next up, how about some extra deck stuff. With Bahamut Shark. It can get me any Rank 3 or lower Water Xyz monster.

Paleozoic Opabinia is kind of cool if you play Paleozoics.
Paleozoic Anomalocaris is pretty much the same.
Armored Kappa is pretty basic, but the battle protection, both destruction and battle damage, is nice.
Cat Shark can double the attack of another Xyz monster, so that is kind of cool.
Toadally Awesome is stupid. In so many ways. Not only can it get me Frog monsters, but it can just negate spells and let me take control of them.
Epurrely Beauty is cute, and not that bad.
Number 47: Nightmare Shark lets a water monster attack directly.
Tri-Edge Levia banishes stuff it destroyed by battle, and it can negate the effects, and lower the attack, of monsters.
Super Quantal Mech Beast Grampulse is a part of a really cool Xyz archetype, but as a standalone card, it really isn’t that good. Well, I suppose 2800 defense is pretty good.
Humhumming the Key Djinn only really works with other Djinn monsters. But she is some sort of a piano demon, so she can entertain HomeBase guests.
Gold Pride - Chariot Carrie seems okay, but I have no clue about this ‘Gold Pride’ archetype. It must be something from the future.
Xyz Armor Torpedo has some interesting effects when equipped to another monster, but it can’t equip itself. So it relies on outside support to be equipped. The draw effect is also okay, but nothing crazy.
LeVirtue Dragon is fine. The GY recovery is okay and while the overlay unit transfer might seem useless, there could be a use for it. Maybe. I also got Virtue Stream when I summoned the card.
Virtue Stream is basically Icarus Attack but for Fish, Sea Serpent, or Aqua-type monsters.

And that is all I got off of Bahamut Shark. Nothing crazy, but some good stuff.
Next, I think it is time for some Spellcasters. And for that, I have three cards.
Fool of Prophecy can get me Level 5 or higher Dark Spellcasters. Temperance of Prophecy is the same, but it gets Light or Dark Spellcasters. And last, The Grand Spellbook Tower can get any Spellcasters, as long as I have differently named Spellbook spells up to, or greater, than its level. And lucky me, I have exactly 12 Spellbook Spells, so I should be able to get anything.

And naturally, there were a ton of Spellcasters I got this way.
I’ll start with the high level Dark Spellcasters.
Hexe Trude is interesting. She is just a lady in a dress, but somehow she is a Spellcaster rivaling the Dark Magician.
Performapal Odd-Eyes Dissolver is just Pendulum Fusion support. Not bad but nothing amazing.
Sauge de Fleur is fine. I don’t really know what else to say.
Pharaonic Advent looks cool. Continuous Trap support is rare, and Pharaonic Advent seems useful.
Imsety, Glory of Horus has nothing to do with Horus the Black Flame Dragon. And I really can’t tell how good it is without seeing some of these ‘King's Sarcophagus’ cards. Looks really cool, even if he appears more like a Fairy or a Warrior than a Spellcaster.
Magician of Dark Illusion is just Dark Magician support. And it seems alright.
Dragoncaller Magician has a really cool effect where it doubles the attack of the monster it was used as a material for. But only if it battle a dragon. So situational, but useful.
And last for the Dark Spellcasters, Cosmo Queen the Queen of Prayers. A retrain of my dear Cosmo Queen. Queen of Prayers seems to play around field spells, which isn’t the most useful for me, but she still has good stats and an amazing design.

Now, some Light Spellcasters.
World of Prophecy feels like an incomplete name for a monster. But what do I know? She is decent enough and does work with Spellbooks.
Mythical Beast Master Cerberus works with Spellcounters and can banish stuff.
Performapal Laugh Maker, other than being a card based on Yuya’s dad from the anime, is actually pretty nice. I’ve said it multiple times, but in this world, buff spells are common. So I can easily use Laugh Maker to either gain HP, or just have it gain a lot of attack. And once I get Smile World, Laugh Maker will work extremely well with it.
Performapal Smile Sorcerer follows Laugh Maker in working well with Smile World. And it can generate multiple Pack tokens at the same time, so that is pretty cool.
Witchcrafter Madame Verre looks super cute, can negate the effects of all opposing monsters, and boost the attack of my Spellcasters. She is basically perfect.
Witchcrafter Golem Aruru specials itself and does some stuff. She is also cute and has a really nice attack stat.
And last, The Iris Swordsoul. Sadly she counters special summons, which people don’t use, so I won’t use her beyond her stats.

As for the ones of the other attributes, I didn’t get all that many as I didn’t loop the cards enough times, but I got a few.
Snake-Eyes Diabellstar seems interesting, but I can’t say too much about it, as I don’t know if it is a standalone card, or if there is an entire archetype around it.
Performapal Sky Magician is from the anime and it is pretty nice.
And the last of these is Performage Stilts Launcher. It just helps with burn damage.

Again, I could probably get more, but I got quite a few already and I kind of got bored with the Spellcasters. I think I’ll do one more type of monster and then I’ll call it quits.
That last type of monster is Level 4 Earth Warrior or Beast-Warrior monsters, courtesy of M-X-Saber Invoker.

With it, I got some stuff. For Warriors, I got Beckoned by the World Chalice; SPYRAL Super Agent; U.A. Libero Spiker; Argostars - Fierce Parthe; Argostars - Glorious Adra; Heroic Challenger - Morning Star and Nordic Smith Ivaldi.
Spoiler

Super Agent is really cool as I could always use more agents. Though I don’t think Super Agent is going to be matching with the common folk of this world. But if we change his suit a bit, he can mix in with nobles, I hope.
Argostars - Fierce Parthe I’m not quite sure about. It seems good, but I’d need to see more of these ‘Argostars’.
And luckily, I also got Argostars - Glorious Adra. She can activate 2 Argostars Continious Traps from the deck, so I can maybe see what these Argostars are really all about.
Heroic Challenger - Morning Star is just a situational free summon, which is great for TCG use, but not my use. But he does wield a morning star and that is quite a rare weapon, so in that way, having him is cool.
Nordic Smith Ivaldi is also nice. I could always use more Smith monsters. And since Ivaldi can seemingly make ‘Nordic Relics’, having him on board will help us in getting our legendary weapons to be even better.
As for Beast-Warriors, I got three cards that are something, and six more that will give some of you nightmares. Let’s start with the nice ones first.
Gladiator Beast Attorix is fine. I don’t think she does anything that special for Glad Beasts, but a Foolish Burial effect is still good. Especially when you can do it from the extra deck or main deck.
Vanquish Soul Pantera. She is fine but nothing super special.
Assault Sentinel is /Assault Mode support. And I’ve been using Assault Mode Activate on Nir, so maybe having the Sentinel will be helpful.

… Now to the six nightmare cards.
Zoodiac Kataroost; Zoodiac Ramram; Zoodiac Bunnyblast; Zoodiac Whiptail; Zoodiac Thoroughblade and Zoodiac Ratpier.

Yeah. I think you all understand why I’m not the biggest fan of this set of cards.
Obviously they aren’t nearly as good without their Xyz monsters, but they are still nightmare inducing for people who played against them. Thank god I didn’t play competitively during their time. … well ever actually.
But still, I’ve heard some horror stories. And now I can summon this nightmare fuel.
