Chapter 250: Husband knows he was wrong, it won’t happen again next time (Second update)

Li Xianyun’s face turned red at the words, wondering how he could still think about that kind of thing at a time like this. Wasn’t he ever tired of it, doing it several times a day?

Seeing that Li Xianyun didn’t respond, Yelu Yan asked again, "If the wound suppurates and gets inflamed, does that mean we can’t do that sort of thing?"

Li Xianyun knew he was sincerely asking. He was always so hasty and rough, uncivilized and domineering. If he really wanted something, he would coax and wheedle her—had she ever not given in to him?

He just liked to see her embarrassed and unable to control herself, the bad guy.

"Mhm," Li Xianyun said tenderly to him, "so you need to be more obedient."

"Okay."

As he spoke, Yelu Yan buried his handsome yet slightly weary face in the fragrant crook of her neck, kissing her and rubbing his stubble against her.

Li Xianyun felt ticklish, her whole body going weak as her small face became burning hot.

She raised her small hand to gently push against the burly man before her, saying softly, "My lord, let me go, I need to fetch the medicine chest."

"Let the servants get it."

Li Xianyun had no choice but to clear her throat and call out, "Zhuo Ma, Youlan."

At this moment, the two servants were adhering to the principle of ’see no evil, hear no evil,’ staying far away with the other maids, out of earshot.

Seeing no movement outside, Li Xianyun called out again, but still there was no response.

At this point, a certain person chuckled lightly, looking at her fondly, and his magnetic voice rang out, "It seems your two maids are very self-aware."

Li Xianyun looked up at him, puzzled.

She was already shorter than him, and now sitting on the desk, she appeared even smaller. Yelu Yan loomed over her like a monumental figure.

As he drew near, he blocked out the light, casting a huge shadow over her, enveloping her completely.

One was tall and strong, the other petite and delicate—a matchless pair.

Just now, Yelu Yan was bending over to hug her, indulging her frailty, doting on her no end.

Yelu Yan raised his hand to gently squeeze Li Xianyun’s slightly chubby, tender cheeks, smiling, "Your maids must have guessed what we were doing in the room, afraid of hearing what they shouldn’t, and led the other maids far away to wait."

Li Xianyun’s face heated up slightly, and she gave him a playful side glance, "My lord, there’s a saying that fits you well, ’a dirty mind leads to dirty eyes.’"

Seeing that Yelu Yan was about to pinch her face again, Li Xianyun quickly raised her hand to cover her soft cheeks, chastising him, "Don’t pinch my face again, you’ll ruin it."

She was just immensely adorable.

Yelu Yan paused for a moment, then gently scraped the tip of her nose with his finger, smiling brightly, "If I ruin it, I’ll take responsibility."

Li Xianyun huffed lightly, "You’re supposed to take responsibility anyway."

But, important matters needed her attention.

She struggled to get off the desk while being blocked by someone’s waist.

Li Xianyun looked up at him, "My lord, I need to get the medicine chest."

"Why bother with such trouble," Yelu Yan said mildly, tilting his head, "Someone come."

No sooner had he spoken than Zhuo Ma responded at the doorway, "Khan, your servant is here."

Zhuo Ma sounded breathless when she spoke, clearly having just run over.

"Fetch the medicine chest," Yelu Yan said lightly.

"Yes."

Yelu Yan watched Li Xianyun and smiled.

Li Xianyun shot him a sideways glance, then her gaze fell on his left upper arm, "My lord, how did you get this injury?"

Yelu Yan landed a kiss on Li Xianyun’s lips, finally getting the kiss he sought.

"When I was destroying the bandit stronghold, I wasn’t careful and got cut by a hidden sword."

"Be more careful next time," Li Xianyun instructed.

"Hmm," Yelu Yan wrapped his arms around Li Xianyun’s slender waist and kissed her flushed lips, "I know, for you, your husband will also take good care of himself."

"Knowing is good." Li Xianyun’s mind was clear, "So that means the bandits have been completely dealt with?"

"Yes, and it’s all thanks to the people you captured. When your husband interrogated them this morning, they provided valuable clues that allowed me to follow the vine and catch them all in one swoop."

As Yelu Yan spoke, he kissed her cheek, missing her terribly throughout the entire day, so much so that his bones itched with longing.

He yearned for her every smile and frown, for her tender and compliant charm in bed—several times he was so temptingly lost in thought that he failed to hear when people called for him.

The more he thought, the more his heart felt tormented, and his suppressed emotions yearned for an earth-shattering outburst.

Li Xianyun was also moved and slowly closed her eyes, her eyelashes trembling fiercely. With breaths burning hot, she asked, "They... what was their conspiracy?"

"Nothing more than creating disturbances at the frontier and affecting the situation in Shangjing," Yelu Yan said as he took her tender earlobe in his mouth, eliciting a soft moan from the little woman.

Seeing Yelu Yan getting handsy, Li Xianyun hastily grabbed his rough hand, removing it from her chest, and said in a coquettish voice, "My lord, Zhuo Ma and the others will be here with the medicine box soon."

"Let them leave it at the door."

Yelu Yan pried his rough hand out of her small one and continued his mischief, while his other hand reached from behind her waist, grabbed her head, and fiercely kissed her delicate and fragrant red lips.

Li Xianyun started to speak with her mouth full, "No... Mmm..."

Someone then took his chance.

Li Xianyun, seated on the table, was shy and uncomfortable, and seeing Yelu Yan’s passion kindled, fearing it would soon flare up into a raging fire, she gently bit his lip.

Yelu Yan was both shocked and delighted, gazing at her, "You little enchantress."

Li Xianyun held his strong waist, looking up at him, "My lord, let’s dress the wound first, shall we?"

Such words were easy to lead to wild thoughts.

"So you mean, once the bandage is good, you will oblige your husband?"

"Hmm."

Delight evident in his eyes, Yelu Yan kissed Li Xianyun’s face over and over, "Your husband knows you love cleanliness, I have already bathed."

Up until then everything was fine, but upon hearing this, Li Xianyun became unhappy, and her expression turned serious.

Yelu Yan immediately sensed her change and restrained his smile.

Li Xianyun’s brows lightly furrowed as she looked up at him, "My lord, you took a bath despite being injured? Do you not want your wounds to heal?"

"Your husband..."

"You see me worrying for you, do you find that amusing?"

"No, your husband just..."

Your husband just didn’t want you to smell the blood.

Yelu Yan knew she always loved cleanliness. Today, having killed many, he was covered in the scent of blood and did not want to make her feel uncomfortable.

"Can’t you consider my feelings? Hearing you were injured, do you know how worried and scared I was? But you take such little care of yourself, you’re going to make me so angry."

She was like a little hedgehog now, spikes up all over her body, and also like a small hen with her feathers all puffed out.

Adorably irresistible.

Seeing her worry for him, Yelu Yan was ecstatic, but knowing she was angry, he also worried she would harm her health.

The contradictory emotions within him stuck together, leaving him somewhat at a loss.

A great hero who commanded the world and outpaced all in strategy was stammering like a trapped beast in front of his own woman, unable to speak.

"Your husband knows he was wrong, it won’t happen again," he uttered.

Li Xianyun plainly didn’t believe him, still fuming, "You’re as stubborn as a donkey, you’ll never admit your mistakes, only know how to coax me. I’m just so annoyed."
