Everything moved along for the next few months. Nothing exciting had occurred, but they had not stopped progress on their plans. The Wall Forest’s new paths were opened in four months, while the armies and mercenaries took the responsibility to keep the Terragore contained within a certain underground area.
During the last four months, Liu Shu’s roots managed to infiltrate the deepest parts of the Terragore Empire, taking in the full extent of the threat. After doing the numbers, she sent them to Flor. “Flor, there are a total of 4,700 <Third Energy Cycles> remaining, and around 250,000 <Second Energy Cycle> monsters. The rest, around one and a half million of them, are below Level 24.”
Seeing those numbers, Flor was both relieved and scared. ‘If the <Terragore> weren’t a race that mostly lives underground, this continent might’ve been swallowed by them a long time ago. They’ve grown to that extent because of the limited resources they can secure underground. If they swallowed the surface resources…’ Flor shook her head. “Now, only a few thousand threats remain. Once we deal with those nearly 5,000 <Third Energy Cycles>, they will be completely suppressed.’
“Thank you, love. What has the <Terragore Queen> been doing lately?”
Liu Shu answered slightly awkwardly. “Well… Pairing?”
“Pairing?” Flor blinked, unable to understand.
Liu Shu commented with an awkward tone. “She goes around the nest, and when she sees a strong male, she drags it into her nest and mates with it until the male dies. Not because the Queen kills them, but they are just not strong enough to take her… well, her advances. It seems that she has been frustrated since the <Terragore King> left, which doesn’t help her.”
Flor’s little mouth dropped open. “That’s… Wow.” She pondered for a few moments and commented. “What if we attack her during one of her matings? We might take her by surprise, no?” Sёarch* The NovelZone.fun website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
Liu Shu commented. “I don’t think it is a good idea to interrupt her during the act. She will be quite angry. You always become moody when your private time with Ignatia gets interrupted.”
Flor’s face gained a color similar to her ruby-like hair. “Y-You… You were looking?”
“Hm? Not purposely. But Ignatia’s bed is made with my leaves and roots. I can feel and see that area quite easily.”
“...”
Flor banged her forehead onto the table, almost crumbling it from the strike. ‘Oh Earth, swallow me. I want to be reborn as a little sapling and forget about this shame.’
Flor desperately tried to change the subject. Otherwise, she might die of embarrassment. “Love, when are you due? It has been over ten months since your pregnancy, right?”
Liu Shu answered with a happy tone. “I’ll give birth in a week!”
“A week? So soon?” Flor’s embarrassment flew away as worry took her heart. “Do you need something, love? How about you let me and Ignatia enter your <Core Room>, even if it is just to help you deliver the baby?”
“You can’t!” Liu Shu pouted. “Only my lovers can enter my <Core Room>.”
Flor sighed ruefully. This was something quite widely known. But Flor missed the precious figure of her daughter’s Avatar. She wanted to see her again and hug her closely! Still, she understood that she needed to wait until the <Avatar> gained some freedom.
“Well, you know best, so I won’t insist. Still, I miss you, love. I want to see your Avatar and hug you…” Flor’s words made Liu Shu hesitate. However, it was truly not possible. That location was too intimate. The problem was not that, because Flor and Ignatia were her parents, they might become that exception, but more that, exactly because Flor and Ignatia were her parents, allowing them to enter that location would be too uncomfortable and shameful.
Liu Shu looked at Flor’s sullen appearance and summoned a vine around her, gently caressing Flor’s cheeks. “I will eventually see you… When we can see each other, I’ll let you hug me as much as you want, like you did in the past.”
When she was much smaller, Flor, Clavel, and other fairies would give her hugs from time to time. Now though, if they tried to hug her, it would be like hugging a wall. Her body’s circumference was just too large.
Speaking of size, Liu Shu had already reached 2,550 meters in height. She was a big lady!
A week passed quite quickly, and all four Sylvans arrived at Liu Shu’s <Core Room> early in the morning. Once they crossed the petal door, they saw Liu Shu resting on the bed with a peaceful expression.
Harmonixia’s steps hastened, approaching quickly and sitting by her side. After all, this was Harmonixia’s child, so she was the most nervous. Cinderielle laughed and spoke. “Slow down, Harmonixia. You are going to trip over.”
Harmonixia harrumphed, hugging Liu Shu’s <Avatar> closely. “What do you know? I want to see how you’ll react when it is your turn!”
Tempestria chuckled and sat on the other side of the bed. Her hand took Liu Shu’s tender and small hand. “How are you feeling, Shu’er?”
Liu Shu’s eyes gleamed like gems. “I am eager! I want to see what this baby will be! The other time, I was pregnant for around 5 months, and I gave birth to an Alraune, this time it is double the waiting length!”
Verdantia pondered. “I wonder as well. Dewna is almost 2 years old already, so having a little sister will help her socialize better.”
Hearing her mention her other daughter, Liu Shu giggled. “You are having so many troubles with her. It’s quite funny seeing all of you struggle with her appetite.” She added with a smile. “Also, Green, Red, Grey, and Violet have also grown a lot! When are you moving into them?”
In the end, the four Sylvans decided to name the four Tree House Daughters by their colors. It was simple, but also not too bad. After all, those four would have limited intelligence, and anything more than that would be too much trouble.
Cinderielle commented. “Actually, we were preparing to move soon. Those four darlings are already big enough to create a house comparable to one of the apartments of your other Tree Houses. Still, I am a bit confused.”
Tempestria asked, curious. “About what?”
“Well,” Cinderielle started. “Why are they growing so slowly? The other Tree Houses grow in a few months to their full 100 meters of height.”
Liu Shu shook her head. “It’s different. My Tree House babies are created from high-quality materials along with my essence and seeds. Those materials act as a catalyst and boost their growth. Plus, they are also affected by my many skills.” Liu Shu patted her large pregnant belly and smiled. “On the other hand, Little Green, Red, Grey, and Violet are proper living beings, born from within me. They need to grow naturally. If it weren’t because my many passives are boosting their growth rate, they wouldn’t have grown taller than three or four meters.”
Harmonixia hummed. “Speaking of that… How about our office daughter, Liu Shu? How long is her lifespan?”
Liu Shu paused and commented. “Well, as a simple flower, she can’t live forever. Still, she should be able to live for a century or two.”
Harmonixia frowned faintly. “... Only a century?” Compared to her own lifespan, that was truly not much. Liu Shu gently grabbed her hand and smiled. “Don’t worry. That’s her current lifespan. Who knows, during that century, we might find a way to lengthen her lifespan. My skills will also develop, and I’ll be able to help her.”
Harmonixia nodded, feeling a bit more relieved. When they were going to ask once more, Liu Shu suddenly yelped in pain. Knowing what this signified, their gazes went down and saw fluid leaking.
They didn’t become as frantic as the first time, but to say that they were not nervous would be a lie. First of all, they leaned Liu Shu back and placed her in a comfortable position. Since their lovely World Tree was always naked, they didn’t need to do anything in that regard. Then, Tempestria created a very gentle and pleasant breeze, while Verdantia summoned flowers she knew Liu Shu’s avatar loved the scent of. Both of them created a pleasant and fresh aroma in the room.
Harmonixia lay by Liu Shu’s side, and she hugged her without bothering her while humming a tune to help Liu Shu further. Finally, Cinderielle used her fire to disinfect her hands and prepare to help Liu Shu. She was also the person leading the birth of the baby.
“Tiantian, remember how to push, okay? Let’s take it slow and let the baby stretch you so that it doesn’t hurt that much.”
“O-Okay. Ah! Uff… This one is bigger than the last time.” Looking at the stomach, which was no different from a twin pregnancy, the girls were somewhat worried. However, the Avatar’s biology differed greatly from that of Sylvan and Human females. Her stretchiness was beyond what the other two races could achieve.
Liu Shu breathed in and out, slowly feeling how her internal structures stretched and gave way for the child.
The process took over four hours in total. Liu Shu's body was drenched in sweat, her gorgeous jade green hair sticking to her forehead and body, while her amethyst eyes had some unshed tears. “Uhghhh!!! Ha… Ha…”
Cinderielle smiled through her nervousness. “You are doing great, Tiantian. I can already see the cocoon. Push, love. Breathe and push.”
Liu Shu relaxed for a second, taking a deep breath, before pushing out. “Come outtt!!! Ahh!!”
Cinderielle used her hands to grab the part of the cocoon she could see, and helped Liu Shu push it out. When the thickest part went through, the rest easily popped out behind it. The bed was smeared with the fluids, but Cinderielle was holding the bundle of leaves with a smile. “Congratulations, Tiantian. It is out~.”
Liu Shu glanced at the cocoon of leaves with tired eyes and smiled, chuckling tiredly. “Hehe... Welcome to life, baby…” Her mouth opened, a yawn escaping her. “Haam~. So tired.”
Harmonixia stopped humming and kissed Liu Shu’s tired face. “Great job, love.” She saw Cinderielle approach and she extended her arms, not caring about the dirtiness of the large cocoon of blue leaves.
Leaning on Harmonixia’s shoulder, Liu Shu poked the cocoon and blinked. “Why is it not opening?”
The other Sylvans approached, and Tempestria commented. “With Dewna, the cocoon opened by itself. Do we need to help it this time?”
Verdantia shook her head. “I can sense the vitality of the baby, and it is not struggling. I think it is slowly acustoming itself to the environment before opening the leaves.”
Harmonixia’s anxious face relaxed when she heard their discussion. She sighed and poked the bundle of blue leaves in her arms. “Baby, don’t you want to come out to meet Mommy?”
As she asked, the cocoon twitched, and then it began opening. Harmonixia’s eyes opened in anticipation. “Liu Shu, look… Ah.” Looking at the sleeping woman leaning on her shoulder, her heart melted with love. “Great job, super mom~. Thank you for giving birth. I love you.”
Liu Shu smiled faintly in her sleep. Then, the rest focused on the new baby.
